The inside of the catedral is absolutely stunning. I hope I’m lucky enough to visit someday.

I loved the empanadas though and the meat was incredible. I wasn’t a big meat eater then but it was absolutely delicious…

Buenos Aires is definitely top of my list now. The Paris of South America is such an apt name for the city. It’s absolutely beautiful – great pictures! The architecture is remarkable.

Wow, what a beautiful city, it’s been on my list for 10 years now. I’m going to read your dining options post next 🙂

That is so awesome, Delphine! I’m sure the view of the cemetery from above must’ve been stunning!

Wow! Casa Rosada would be the first place I would want to capture through the lens. Amazing! Your photos are really fantastic. I thank you for sharing so many gorgeous buildings and great examples of BA architecture. Perhaps I should get serious about this South America trip soon.

I was not expected such a European feel. I associate BA more with its El Caminito area, since this is so unique to the city. Really like to see the Casa Rosada and the Catedral Metropolitana de Buenos Aires up close, these two buildings look stunning too!

There is such brilliant contrast between the buildings of state and El Caminito. I’d love to explore. As for the food, well, I think I’d leave Argentina heavier than I arrived. I’d enjoy the local restaurant more too, even if that does look like steak for four! We’re off to an Argentinian restaurant for dinner tonight (in the UK), so I’ll keep my eyes open for some of the dishes you’ve described. And I’m hungry already…

But you described a great city. I would love to go and I would take the ferry to the small town in Uruguay, too!
