The bone in the dish is named tuetano. You shall try it, the taste is like butter and delicious. You dont eat the regional cuisine which is kidgoat, asado de puerco (pork), machacado con huevo (dry meet) and more. There are more places at 30 min of downtown is National Park Chipinque (Sierra Madre Oriental), also at 50 min of dowtown is Santiago Village (Villa de Santiago) a town visited by tourist and great nature, also Las Grutas de Garcia….

This is a beautiful place with so many things to do. I would love to visit the museums and stroll by the riverside. Even the Steel Museum seems to be interesting. The photos you clicked are cool!

The photos you took are drool-worthy! I’ve been wanting to go back to Mexico for a while now. It’s good to know that it’s a pretty safe city. I know safety has been a concern for Americans.

Such a great guide, thanks for sharing. I had heard from friends that Monterrey is the most western style city in Mexico and a good place to start when exploring the country but not sure hwo reliable that is – thats just how they found it!! Looks like there are lots of pretty and safe neighbourhoods to explore. Sucks you had issues with your flight though
