Woot woot you went hiking! What an epic first National Parks post Kevin!! I love the look of Logans Pass, and the Highline trail looks right up my street (even if it is a little busy!) I am glad you found some good food too (it’s so annoying when you find places like the place in Saint Mary, overpriced and underwhelming.) The other food looks fabulous in comparison.

Stunning pictures! These landscapes remind me of Himachal Pradesh. Being a sucker for mountains, I would love to visit Glacier National Park.

Wow, reading this made me get out my old photo album. I was in Glacier nearly 20 years ago and I recognized some of the sights. But I was not as adventurous as you and did not do the Highline or Avalanche trails. I selected much shorter trails at that time and spent some time on the Canadian side, in Waterton Park. But I think this may not be possible right now.

I’m really impressed with how much good food you were able to find so close! Highline sounds amazing, and it’d be so cool to see mountain goats! Heights do make me a bit nervous, though. I’m curious what other hikes are good for viewing wildlife. Hidden Lake sounds really pretty!

For your first US National Park, you picked a GREAT one!! This park is incredible! I loved reading about the highline trail as we weren’t able to do that when we were there. I really want to go back and try it!
