I don’t remember the cenotes being freezing but I do think it was pretty dang hot on the day we went! They were so deep underground but they aren’t exactly caves so that might help!

From all the beautiful buildings with such color to the amazing food, it is easy to see why it is on most people’s bucket list! Darcee & I are hoping to tick off swimming in a Cenote in the Yucatan this coming October depending on the pandemic situation! So my only question is, was the water warm? The few caves I have swam in Belize were fun but the water was FREEZING for this poor little cuban boy!

The architecture and colorful doors in Merida look amazing. Too bad about the food, but that happens almost anywhere. Best thing to do is what you did … walk away.

That yellow house with blue door is truly stunning. I would take thousands of pictures here.

I’d love to swim in such a cave and take some underwater photos, too.

This place is a good one for weekend. Would love to get because I never swam in a cave.
